The previous version was based on Java, but the support for Java is
rapidly diminishing.
The new website is based on JavaScript and is largely compatible with HTML5.
That runs on all modern systems including iPad and iPhone and is more future-proof.

Do you want to use the photos. That's OK and there are no costs. A reference is appreciated but is not necessary.
So you can use them, but the photos keep to be my property.
But please ask for the original photos with a higher resolution for a better quality.
The photos on the site have a lower web resolution, because then they load faster.
